Who are we and what is MERLIÁ?
Hi, I’m Miriam, the founder of MERLIÁ. It all started in my childhood bedroom with a small savings jar, a huge dream, and a lot of late nights planning. MERLIÁ was created because I wanted makeup to be fun, approachable, and something that makes you feel confident in just a few minutes. My team and I work every day to bring that vision to life. We want everyone who uses our products to feel a little brighter, a little freer, and a lot more confident.
What makes MERLIÁ unique?
Our approach is simple: makeup should enhance how you feel, not overwhelm you. I personally focus on lipsticks and blushes because they’re quick, easy, and instantly uplifting. A swipe of berry-toned blush and a touch of lip color can change your whole mood. My team and I handpick every product, from the shade to the texture, to ensure it feels light, fresh, and luxurious without ever being complicated. Our colors are mostly berry-inspired, with a subtle fruity note that makes every application a little happy moment.
How did the brand begin?
MERLIÁ started when I was in high school. I spent weeks saving up just to register my business, working day and night to get the first products selected. Now, my team and I collaborate on every detail – the textures, packaging, shades, even the scent. Everything reflects our shared vision: makeup that feels joyful, effortless, and inspiring. We never wanted to be exclusive or intimidating. Our goal has always been to create a space where makeup is accessible, uplifting, and something to enjoy.
What is our philosophy on beauty?
For me, makeup is about enhancing your natural expression. I rarely wear heavy foundation because I love my freckles, and I want our customers to feel the same freedom.
